Came across this article about messing with your Firefox – closing it in on the awesomeness that is Opera. Atleast alot of those tweaks would serve to make it become more like it. Looked like the kind of tweaking I’d do to FF if I was using it. Personally I thought it always used too much screen-estate, and those *bad word* Home, Back buttons and their ilk.
Note though that the RAM-hack’s a dubious one. I don’t see how you can limit Firefox’ use of RAM through a cache-limiter. I suppose that one’s useful if you’re running on a machine with limited harddrive space, and/or Virtual Memory’s hogging quite a byte?
I thought I’d dig into the opera:config again to see what there was to change and fiddle around with. Got stumped by a few settings I had no idea what did, so I found this – settings file explained.
Oh, and I put a Firefox button on the side there somewhere ->
Should be visible only to Internet Explorer users (since Firefox is ok, k?). Hopefully.
