‘nudder mornin’ - ‘peshul mornin’

Had an eventful morning. Last night I installed a new program that would wake me up in the mornings. I fiddled around with it for far too long, and when I thought I was satisfied I enabled the alarm to wake me up at 07:15 (that involves atleast 15 minutes of snoozing by the way), and promptly hit the sack.

It’s a new program on the Touch Dual. For some reason the dolts that created Windows Mobile “forgot” to add one of the most important aspects to a cellphone - the alarm. Probably because Windows Mobile is originally for the “business professional” that probably runs around with atleast 50 alarm-clocks, a rolex, and a hen (well, they’re not all that bright). They probably have some blonde babe calling them to wake them up as well, or a servant. What do I know, I’m not particularly “buinessy professionalus”.

What my point really is is that this morning was a tad troubled. Very troubled. Atleast I got up. Agonizingly. Or tormented. I’m not entirely sure how to describe the sensation in those kinds of words, so I’ll just sum up the events:

Don’t Panic button

Somehow I’d made the program repeat itself, ad nauseum, until I hit some magic flip-switch inside the program. How I had managed that is beyond me, but I apparently did. I only found that out after 5 minutes of frenzied poking around, having to wait 8 seconds before the wake-up tune was over every time before I could be certain. Since I had, in addition, managed to make the sound “override system volume for entirety of duration” I spent atleast 3 minutes backtracking from last night to the settings where I stopped it from continuing it’s piercing sound.

After that it was a “blissful quiet” when I tried to stop the program from making me go nutty.

Let me tell you one thing right now so that there’s no misunderstanding: The Touch Dual’s speaker is loud. Very, very loud, and very much so much more in a dark and cold and otherwise extremely quiet room when waking up.

Atleast it got me on my feet, and in retrospect I find the whole thing hilarious. Not that I’m keen on repeating it. Brilliant program by the way.
