This is the third time I’m playing through it, and I’m currently at the point where I’m going after Fontaine after fixing the scrambling of the Plasmids, and I started thinking about this in my (surprise!) car.
Andrew Ryan is depicted as one of the most brilliant men of this generation. He might not be a genius statesman per se, but he was a fighter, a survivalist, a man of incredible willpower. Brilliant in almost every aspect. That’s why I can’t help but find it inconsistent that he’d let himself be killed by his son in the manner that he did, that he just gave up.
That’s why I’m thinking Ryan didn’t die, he just rezzed at the closest Vita Chamber. I mean, noone said anything about them being restricted or anything, did they? Yes they did, but all it’s said is that it’s restricted to Ryan’s genetic code, which the protagonist had.
In any case, Bioshock rocks. A bit too easy, even on hard, but one of the most fun experiences in a FPS ever. STALKER might be fun, but it’s not amazing in the same way. They have far too few abilities for that!
So, all we need to do now is wait patiently for the second one to come out…
