Telenor on TPB & Illegal Filesharing

(ITavisen.no|Torrentfreak.com)

Today, 09.07.2009, Telenor released a statement (tl;dr format) basically saying:

“We won’t be police, figure out how to compete with piracy since we think it’s possible, and gtfo unless you’ve got a court order telling us to block stuff”.

This kind of stance certainly increases my respect for Telenor.

Respect in da hood man ;)
Also makes me wonder what percentage of Telenor is still state owned, if any? And if that makes any difference to the story…

    Go Norway!

  2. Morghus says:

Not sure if it’s relevant, but anyhow the Norwegian Government still owns 53,97% of their shares, and Folketrygdfondet owns another 4,60%.
