Maybe I should boot up the Last.FM plugin again to keep track of what I am currently listening to, mostly for other people’s benefits, not that there are all that many who care. Or maybe it’s me who doesn’t care. I’m not sure.

Also, I can’t be arsed to boot up the plugin because I’ve got so many services running on this machine I’m starting to get worried about performance. Every now and then the fan on my machine borders on squealing! Though that might be because there’re ample amounts of dust in there…

Whichever. Right now I’m listening to the di.fm Chillout channel (direct link here), and I’ve rarely left it. I had a short stint by GoaPsy Trance, but honestly, most of it sounded the same. Go figure, my dad was partially right about this kind of music. The bastard.

That reminds me of a track I heard the other day. It was brilliant. Two DJ’s making an entire session live, and it sounded coherent, wonderful… damn, just go check it out - Live Performances (there’s a +/- there).

Two sometimes not totally unrelated things!

For some reason I’ve fallen back into the anime-soundtrack valley again. I’m back to enjoying it tremendously. Like White Reflection by TWO-MIX. It’s not spectacular, nor amazing, but I suspect I totally love it due to the series it accompanied - Gundam Wing, a rather amazing mecha anime I highly recommend to anyone up for watching all of it. Also heard SEE-SAW again ( Yes, odd CAPSLINEMORECAPS names on some of these groups Oo ), and I keep being amazed at some of the odd music I seem to enjoy. It might be the random melodiousness, or that I can’t understand them, and can focus on the voice and the music. In any case. I mean for gods sake; I’m listening to j-pop and enjoying it. Scary.

Also I got to see Eastern Promises today which failed completely and utterly at making me crave big booms and insane whoah. It took me by surprise to see a movie that managed to avoid any painfully obvious clichès, and had 3 scenes where there was some form of action. One with boobies and sex, one bath-house fight, one where a guy gets his throat carved or something. Strangely quiet movie. Interesting dialogue with some impressive actors kept me in a pretty constant suspense due to the strangely tense plot. You kept expecting this and that, but it didn’t happen, or perhaps not right then, or was assumed. Strange I’ll admit, but it made the movie exciting and in the end an impressive piece of work. Viggo Mortensen in his strongest role yet, wonderfully supported by others who I can only applaud quietly, lest others shush me for it. I left the theatre with a smile and fully satisfied. It’s a damned good movie.

I’m not a huge movie-buff, nor do I really like watching movies. Not because movies suck, which ( many of them )/( they do ), I just can’t sit still for the duration of the movie unless the movie is absolutely spectacular in some way. Usually these movies have a booster in the form of a trailer or two to give me that preview excitement that makes a movie complete shit, or totally awesome. I decided to make myself a list of movies, mentally, of the ones I’m really keen on watching when they come out - it ended up here though, seeing as I tend to forget stuff. I doubt I’ll be forgetting these movies anytime soon though.

Stardust. My god I so bloody want to see this movie I am practically, literally, complete bouncing in the chair now when I’m watching the trailers.

Hitman. Definately not in the league of wannaseeffs as Stardust is, but I’m a big fan of the character. Let’s just say I can’t wait to be disappointed *grins*

War. It’s faaaaantastic ( Hot Shots 2 anyone? ;D ). Oh boy, now this is cheese. So much cheese we need to bring out a bulldozer to move it around. If done right it might be huge entertainment though, and that’s all I need. I like both actors, so that’s gonna be a plus.

The Golden Compass. Boys and girls, Ladies and Gentlemen, we have another movie in the league of Stardust. We’re talking big, giddy, and bouncy. Yes, I’m all bouncy and excited about this movie.

NO END IN SIGHT. It looks cool in caps, and I have no idea where I heard about this movie first, but this movie intrigues me. If done right, with enough credibility and weight, it might even kick a fuss.

1.18.08. SO COOOOL START! .. dum di dum di dum…
Enigmatic and secretive. I can’t wait!

Eagle vs Shark. It looks nuts. What more do you need to know? =D

The Bourne Ultimatum. Last, but not the least. Quite the opposite. For some reason this series, it’s story, score and actor is among the most exciting and awesome stuff I’ve seen on the screen for as long as I can tell. Does it contain cheese? I bet it does in truckloads, I’m just too blind to see it. Can I truly explain why I dig this series so much? Maybe… I just love it. Definately the movie I am most eager about…. I mean seriously… wow… O.O
