With gimp I managed to do some basic editing of a picture to make it seem a bit cooler (imo). Here’s the sunbathing picture in a different glory, and way more fun *grins*

Went hiking today (yesterday today), and it felt damned awesome. Someone cancelled the sunshine we ordered, a minor ‘**** you‘ to whoever did it, but it was a great trip. I finally managed to take pictures, and even though the camera’s shite and the lighting was horrendous, Picasa managed to save them somewhat. Here’s the link.

I even placed them on the map! *beams*
Now I need sleep.

Usually I visit http://icanhascheezburger.com/ every day, or every second day, at the least every third day, but in this instance it’s taken me a whole week before I popped back there to take a look at some of the stuff they’ve posted. When I saw this one, a Bucket List (a movie I’d love to see by the way) joke I believe the term is “roflmao”, added a dash of “omg liek almost crapped my pants”. The sad part to this hilarious joke is that you might, really possibly, maybe, uncertainly, likely have to read through most of the http://www.icanhascheezburger.com/ repository of hilarious stuff to understand it, since it’s a recurring theme. It’s worth it though.

I’ve taken a few pictures on my phone, playing around with lighting and failing miserably quite a few times. All in all I’m quite alot happier with the camera on my new phone than I was on my old one, and my css is getting alot better too. Thought I’d share the best pictures with you as sort of a merry christmas from me, and hope the pictures aren’t so subpar they’re considered an insult.

[Edit: I actually managed to leave a div lying around in this post that completely screwed up my blog. I spent far too long spotting it, and too much time racking my head for the culprit, and now I feel embarassed. I hope noone saw it...]

This is my first attempt at using the panorama picture function on the camera. It’s really funky to do, and I’ve probably spent far too much time mucking about with it, and should stop before I panorama something I shouldn’t.

This is a red pepper sold as snacks in the stores. Meaning that it’s called Red Pepper Snacks (Paprika Snacks). I probably took a picture of it to show off how advanced and global our local stores are becoming here in the boonies. As if Pineapples wasn’t enough proof of our entry into the global manifold community.

When we were heading to our christmas party with Uni Micro we had a few toilet-breaks, and this woman went nuts with the camera all the time. I decided to take a picture of her, at the same time she took a picture of me and we got this really funky effect that I can’t really explain… Can you?

The first time I went to the toilet I stared at this label for far too long thinking all the things I think noone else have thought so far at work. Eventually, after a few visits, I decided to take a picture of it so I could share with the world. Who’d have thought you’d find swedish drags here, in the toilet at work? The wonders of this world never ceases to amaze me.

Moritz Eiskonfekt, constantly misstyped as Mortiz(!) by me, and is probably one of the highlights of christmas goodies. Probably the most awesome chocolate in the world. Maybe with the exception of Deandri’s. I seem to remember an awesome chocolate running out way too fast.

Moritz Eiskonfekt stacked up like a pyramid in a moments weakness and apparent boredom. After a whole minute of painstaking work with a constant eye at the details I took a picture of the finished work. The moment of joy when I was done quickly passed, and I did something more interesting with my life, and them, immediately afterwards. Like eating them.

The View (c) from where I work at Uni Micro. As you can see from the lack of snow at that date it’s wasn’t particularly promising in the wintery theme. More like a cold autumn with less leaves and more frost-breaths. And broken hips.

Another panorama of my desk. Just a tad better, and more lighting this time, and I think I’m a bit less shaky here. Hopefully.

I was about to write “Me in all my glory”, but that would be a lie. It’s only half of my glorious face, and some of the wall behind in an attempt at taking cool pictures.

If I remember correctly my friend Martin once asked me if he could buy that picture from me for 3000 NOK or something. Don’t tell him, but my plan was always to give it to him as a present at some point when he was sufficiently desperate or unhappy. Or I’d done something really bad, whichever came first. Yes, I’m willing to pass up 3k NOK. Give me a medal.

The annual flood

I meant to write this alot earlier, but since I’m such a lazy bugger it’s taken me quite some time. Alot of time.

Once or twice a year we get a shitton of flooding around our house, and while it was relatively calm this year I still think it’s pretty awesome to look at.

This lazy and crappy panorama cut/paste of several pictures is the river below our house flooding the field of grass. One year we could look at the water seeping under the grass, lifting it up like water-balloons in pockets. To be quite frank it was damned awesome to play around with, until they burst and we fell through the holes we made. Which was fun as well. Before we poked the balloons to shreds we could literally see how the river dug below the grass and came out further down.

No, I’m not proficient at holding a camera still so the shots can be magnificent, but I’m pretty practiced at a slight shake.

Then we approach the pictures my father took, and as you can see he’s got a far more stable grip on the camera than I have. The first picture’s of the river behind my father’s workshop. The river’s pretty much frothing, and is at around 1 meter above it’s normal size.

An awesome picture showing huge parts of the river upwards, as well as our simplistic, but solid, bridge that crosses it.

That tunnel was installed instead of the round one we had made of metal (that’d almost rusted through when they removed it) because it allows for more water to come through. Alot more water. Imagine how it used to be when the water when tossing over the road there! I’ll admit it was pretty awesome.

I’ll see if I can persuade my father to take some awesome shots of the area during winter, since we can clearly see proof of my poor hand at taking pictures. Hope you like it.
